The Infinite Universe

The Fallacy of the Ambiguous End

Forward

In this script I have attempted to put down in writing, what is essentially a collection of ideas and thoughts that have floated around in the heads of the past and present members of Middle of Nowhere Productions. These random thoughts and ideas have been a source of great amusement to all who share them.

Much of the back ground to the Infinite Saga has existed as these ideas floating around in our heads, instead of being in the previous scripts. This problem is not helped by the fact that the third script in the saga remains unfinished and that the first script is actually a transcript from a film we shot in 2001, which had no script but was made up on the spot.

As a writer it is hard to approach a script like Fallacy as someone who knows nothing about the Infinite Universe. Often I will write down a reference, joke or plot line that I think was covered in one of the previous scripts we have written. But I can never be sure that some one who hasn’t spent as much time discussing the Infinite Universe as I have will have the foggiest idea what is going on. In Fallacy I have tried to write down as many of the crucial details relating to the Infinite Universe as possible, which may have been left out of our previous scripts.

Because of this Fallacy has a lot more ‘background’ than the other scripts. Those who have read the previous scripts will find the style of the script is not quite the same as the other scripts in the saga. This is the nuance of having a series written primarily by three different authors each with their own style, as well as ideas about where the Infinite Saga should head. I guess I got the last laugh on that point by writing the last script in the saga and taking the story in the direction I wanted it to head.

Whilst writing the script I had hoped that it would have enough textual integrity to stand on its own. But that was only ever a pipe dream and I couldn’t totally detach my self from what had come before this script.

Because of this I ask that anyone brave enough to attempt to read this script takes a little time to glance over “The Good, the Bad and the Infinite”, “Citizen Moose” and “The Muusu Bandit” as well as Deon’s excellent but rather unrelated script “On Philosophical Discourse”.

Even if, however, you do do this, you may probably find crucial details are missing in the script. These details can’t be found in any previous scripts, because as I mentioned before they only exist in our heads and have never been written down. I have tried as best as possible to include any details missing from the previous scripts in this script but I am sure there are some I missed.

I hope that if there are any crucial details missing from this script that it does not prevent you enjoying reading it, and if you find you can’t enjoy the script well then for that I apologise.

Yours truly,

Matt
