Back to iPhoto, which uses a toolbar style interface for editing options:
Options available are:
- Rotate
- Cropping (and constraints for cropping)
- Enhance
- Red-eye reduction
- Retouch (which doesn’t seem to do anything!)
- Effects
- Adjust (containing brightness, contrast, saturation, colour temperature, tint, sharpness, straighten, exposure and levels).
To summarise the differences, iPhoto exposes more options to the user – although those options require more knowledge of how they work. Picasa has fewer options but these are more automated and “idiot-proof”, it also makes the undo button more apparent.
